I did not like where the other attempt was going, so I am trying this pattern instead.
I just need to figure out a way to bring in the vibrating element.
I feel like you already have the vibrating edges element in your pattern. When I look closely at it I can clearly see how the colors make the edges give off the illusion of vibration. However, I think you should make your pattern repeat itself. For example, taking your current design and putting it in a shape, such as a rectangle, and making it repeat. That way there would be more to look at and the viewer can really get the sense that the edges are vibrating. Great work though!
I feel like these lines give a vibrating edges feel even if the colors weren't contrasting. They give off a sense of movement that I really enjoy. The thick lines surrounded by the thinner lines are very successful. If there were more lines towards the bottom, I feel like it would look better. Good job!
I think the color choice is effective. I agree with what was already said. The piece is definitely starting to vibrate. I also think the pattern works well and, with more repetition, can contribute to the vibration even more. You're off to a good start!
